Increasing cases of crimes in Namanyonyi Sub County has been associated with rampant cases of drug abuse in the area. This was revealed by residents during a community sensitization meeting conducted by the community liaison office Mbale central police station in the areas of kansanvu, Nabweya parish, Namanyonyi Sub County, Mbale district at mzee Asuman Ssekitti’s home.
According to one resident only identified as Imam, drug abuse has taken a toll on especially the youth in the area making many of them become a nuisance in the area.
