With only two days to polling date, President Yoweri Museveni and the head of the main opposition party FDC, President Mugisha Muntu are expected to address rallies and campaign for their candidates in the Toroma Constituency by elections.
Museveni will be drumming support today for his party’s candidate Joseph Andrew Koluo and Muntu for Martine Odaka Omedo. These are the biggest contenders in the race of seven.
President Museveni according to the program seen by this website, is expected to hold his first rally in the hotly contested Magoro Sub County where both the two Independent NRM leaning candidates come from.
The candidates in the race are Solomon Osiya (Independent), John Robert Ekongot (Independent), Stephen Ariko (Independent), Koluo Joseph Andrew (NRM), Omedo Odaka Martine (FDC), Imalingat Patrick (Independent) and Andrew Omiat (UPC).
The President’s first rally is expected to be a little hectic as some locals have been heard threatening to accost him directly on the ownership of the contested Angisa land.
Museveni will have his last rally at Atoroma Primary School in Toroma Sub County.
On the other hand, FDC’s Mugisha Muntu is expected to address rallies starting from Magoro Sub County before heading to Omodoi, Kapujan and conclude with Toroma Sub County.
